Bangkok Bank funds Vietnam port projects

Thailand’s Bangkok Bank will provide loans of up to US$18 million for Sai Gon Port to fund two joint venture projects on Cai Mep River in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Under a long-term loan facility agreement signed by Bangkok Bank's Ho Chi Minh City branch and the Sai Gon Port Authority, , the loan was provided for Sai Gon Port's capital contribution to the SP-SSA International Terminal project and the Cai Mep International Terminal project.

These joint venture port development projects will be part of an integrated international trade system offering container handling terminals and storage parks.
